Get to know Tom Dingwall

Tom was born and bred in The Home of Golf, Scotland. Growing up in the Highlands and Morayshire area, he was spoiled for choice with so many fantastic golf courses close by. In this environment and his father a keen golfer, Tom took a big interest in Golf from a young age.

During his junior golf career, he excelled very quickly. Winning tournaments at every age category, representing his county and achieving a handicap of +1, he soon decided that Golf would be his future profession.

When Tom turned Professional in 2012, he also enrolled at The University of Birmingham, U.K to complete his PGA Golf Professional qualification. During his three years of studies, he was trained and guided by one of Scotland’s best golf coaches, David Torrance at the Championship Links golf course, Nairn Dunbar Golf Club.

While competing in professional golf tournaments across the U.K. Tom also embarked on a coaching career in his time between tournaments. He found great success with many of his students and soon realised that he had great eyes for the golf swing and a real talent for improving peoples golf games. Although still ambitious with his own golf, he now admits he’s more focused on improving the next generation of golfers!

At the beginning of 2016, Tom was offered a PGA Teaching Professional role at Xcite Golf, Bangkok. This golf academy would soon become a David Leadbetter Indoor Golf Acadmey where Tom got to meet and train from the worlds highest regarded Golf Instructor.
